Megan A. Siddall

Megan Siddall is the managing partner of Miner Siddall. She is a trusted criminal defense and white collar defense attorney with experience representing individuals in all phases of criminal litigation, including pre-indictment investigations, trials, sentencing, and appeals.  She has defended individuals against a broad range of criminal charges, including RICO offenses, health care fraud, financial crimes, tax fraud, securities fraud, drug offenses, human trafficking, and sexual assault. Ms. Siddall also represents individuals in civil litigation and government enforcement actions. 

Ms. Siddall has extensive experience representing researchers accused of scientific research misconduct. She has successfully defended scientists at universities and institutions across the country against allegations of plagiarism, image manipulation, and data falsification.

A former graduate student in philosophy, Ms. Siddall especially enjoys the research and writing required to craft a persuasive brief. She maintains an active appellate practice. She has briefed and argued complex cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the Massachusetts Appeals Court. Ms. Siddall is the author of the Massachusetts Criminal Appeals Blog.

Ms. Siddall has been appointed to serve on the Criminal Justice Act panels for the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. She is also a member of the Committee for Public Counsel Services Post-Conviction Panel in Massachusetts.

Ms. Siddall graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School, where she served as the Managing Editor of the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review.  She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy magna cum laude from Georgetown University, and a Master of Arts in Philosophy from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.  After law school, Ms. Siddall clerked for the Honorable John G. Koeltl of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.  

Ms. Siddall was previously associated with the powerhouse litigation firm Williams & Connolly LLP in Washington DC and another boutique litigation firm in Boston.
